My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penelope is a sweet and loving one-year-old hound mix who was a fantastic mom to her adorable puppies. Penelope and her puppies found themselves dumped on the streets of San Antonio, Texas, and picked up by one of the highest kill shelters in the country. After two out of three of Penelope's puppies were adopted directly from the shelter, the remaining puppy and wound up on the euthanasia list, and hours from being put to sleep, Pep’s Pals Rescue rescued Penelope and her puppy. Pep’s Pals Rescue found a forever home for the remaining puppy, and now, it's Penelope's turn to find her forever home, where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love and care she deserves.

This charming girl is spayed, up to date on all her shots, crate trained, and in excellent health. Penelope's incredible enthusiasm for treats makes her a joy to train and a delight to be around. Whether learning new tricks or simply following commands, Penelope's love for treats will make bonding with her a delightful and rewarding experience.

Penelope has a gentle and affectionate nature, perfect for anyone looking for a loyal companion. Although cat-friendly and gets along with other dogs, she needs to be the only pet in a household without small children. Penelope will thrive in a calm, loving home. She loves to go on walks, play in the yard, and cuddle up for some quality downtime. You have found her if you're looking for a devoted and sweet-natured companion! Penelope is ready for her new beginning.
