Parker! Born in May 2024, he came to ARR as a feral kitten and has worked so hard at becoming a social guy! Currently, he enjoys being pet when he's eating treats and tolerates it when he's in a safe spot like a comfy bed. He will happily hang out next to you, especially if it means play time with toys or a continuous stream of Churu. With patience and commitment, he will continue to blossom. He has perfect litter box and scratching post manners, and he gets along with other cats and cat-friendly dogs. Loud/younger kids would most likely scare him, but older kids (10+) would be fine.
Parker would benefit from being adopted into a home with another friendly and playful cat or dog who can show him the ropes. Otherwise, he would like to be adopted with another ARR kitty, perhaps his sister Holly.
Foster: BS
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/
Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
