This sweet little lady has a BIG personality. Paris roams around the house fearlessly like she owns the place, following her human around and snuggling up next to--or on--them, purring the whole time. She also likes getting brushed with a soft wire brush. When she’s not with her human or watching the world outside from a cat tree, she can be found batting toys around or chasing her feline siblings playfully. She is very good with other cats and could coexist with other polite kitties after a slow introduction.
Paris is a special gal in another way. She is considered a hospice kitty, since our veterinary staff removed a small mass from her abdomen (stage 1 mammary cancer). When all of the cancerous tissue can't be removed (as was the case here), mammary cancer can regrow or spread.
Timelines for spread and regrowth can vary. In August 2024, there was no evidence of cancer elsewhere in her body, and she seems quite comfortable, but for the future, the plan is for palliative care. She's looking for a family who can keep her as happy as possible for as long as she wants.
During PAWS' "Cold Noses & Warm Hearts" Adoption Promotion running through 12/24, adopters can name their adoption fee for any cat over 6 months old or dog over 40lbs.
