My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pet needs emergency placement. Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.

Supernova is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Supernova has been deteriorating during his stay despite best efforts to keep him comfortable. He has been observed to leash bite along with fear-based anxiety. While this does not occur frequently, they can be intense when the behaviors do arise. In his kennel, Supernova hard barks, pants heavily, and spins off his kennel door, indicating high levels of stress. When attempting to remove him from the kennel, Supernova shows significant fearfulness and avoidance, retreating to the back of his kennel and pressing against the walls when handlers attempt to leash him. There have been incidents of leash biting and jumping on handlers during heightened arousal, flailing to the point of falling to the ground on his back. Occasionally, he has shown relaxed behavior, seeking contact from select handlers, but remains highly anxious overall. Medically, Supernova is apparently healthy.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.

I need a home without cats or small animals.

I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with others.
