My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Four was brought in by a community member . Meet Four, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. His bashfulness only adds to his charm, making every interaction feel special and earned. Four has a unique way of communicating his affection with his eyes that speak volumes, expressing a longing for companionship and a desire to give love. When Four feels safe and knows he can trust his people, he becomes a cuddle dog. He did fine with his foster's resident dog. Four's coat is a beautiful tapestry of spots, a testament to his unique spirit. Four is a great loose leash walker and he loves his frequent daily walks. He's not just a pet, he's a friend waiting to share his life with you. Adopt Four, and let his love fill your home.

At SDHS:
Four has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
