My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Delta,

Delta came to us as a stray so we don't know a lot about her history. While she's been with us we quickly found out two things, she thoroughly enjoys the company of people and she does not like the company of other cats. She's very playful, adventurous and would likely be the perfect companion for anyone looking for a playful cuddly kitty. So, if you are looking for a sweet gal for companionship, then Delta is here waiting for you. Just be sure you do not have another cat in your household!. Delta is available as Foster to Adopt while she awaits her spay surgery.

If you believe Delta is your new feline friend furever, please fill out an application at https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ and staff will contact the first suitable applicant.

The Centre is open Tuesday - Saturday Noon to 4 pm (except for Stat Holidays)

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
