Apple is incredibly sweet and loves everyone – she's been a hit with both her foster family's 3-year-old daughter and the other dogs. One of Apple’s cutest quirks? She loves to leap over the back of the couch rather than walk around it – a move that’s hilarious given her tiny size compared to the bigger dogs! She’s also the ultimate fetch queen and will happily chase a ball for hours. Food-motivated? Absolutely! Apple zooms into her crate for feeding time and is learning quickly to be house-trained (she’s almost there!). Apple would thrive in a home with another playful dog or with kids to play with. Apple loves to cuddle, nap, and she sleeps through the night like a dream. Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

To be sure the long distance adoption is the right match for both the dog and family, we offer virtual video conference meeting for your new family member. Following verification and approval of your adoption application, we will arrange a professional transport of our new family member to your area. Our adoption donations range from $200-$300 depending on circumstances of the rescue dog, age, breed, etc. Professional transportation for your new family member is $150. We require a signed contract, driver's license and vet reference.

Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter in the New York area. Therefore it is not possible to meet our rescues in person prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new families each week! The professional transport service is certified through the USDA. Our rescue dogs can be returned to us if things don't work out. We want each adoption to be for a forever home, so we try very hard to make sure it's the right match! Video conference meetings available and encouraged.
