My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Debbie, a gorgeous pittie momma with a personality that shines as brightly as her smile! At 3 years old and 51 pounds, Debbie’s journey from California with her puppies (all now happily adopted) has brought her to Colorado, where she’s ready to find her own loving home.
Debbie lives for human attention—belly rubs, butt scratches, snuggles—you name it, she loves it. She will hang wherever in the house that you are- snuggling on the couch, curled up in the kitchen, if you’re there- she’s there! She’s also got a playful streak: she’s a true champion at “remodeling” stuffed animals and is a pro at training for treats (food motivated is an understatement). Potty trained and always aiming to please, Debbie is the perfect mix of cuddle buddy and fun-loving companion. She’s also friendly and playful with other dogs after a proper introduction but doesn’t love sharing her human with them when she’s snuggling. For this reason, we think she’d be best as an only dog in the home, or with a dog-savvy home willing to work on this (but she’d be happy to have play dates and dog friends!). On walks, once she burns off her zoomies, she walks nicely on a leash.

While Debbie adores all humans, her exuberant butt-wiggles might be best suited for a family with older kids.

This lovable mama is ready to wiggle her way straight into your heart. Debbie will promise to win your heart over quickly, so come and meet her today!

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
