Meet Daddy and Son!

These two are absolute joy! Dad and son are such great companions and get along wonderfully! As a plus, they could not be cuter!! As Texel Guinea Pigs, their coloring and curly long hair makes them really stand out!

This pair was rescued from the West LA Shelter in June of 2024. Dad and son, along with 17 other guinea pigs were part of an owner surrender. Their previous owner purposely put male and female guinea pigs together and soon was overwhelmed. After her neighbors started complaining, she relinquished all 17 pigs.

Currently this pair is thriving in the care of their foster mom. They love lap time and enjoy their “humans” very much!

All of our piggies are fostered in LA, OC and Ventura Counties. Please message us if you are interested in adopting any of them. We gladly transport adoptable pigs throughout our service area.

For two guinea pigs we require a 4x2 C&C cage or a double midwest cage setup. The 4x2 C&C cage measures 56" x 27".

Southern California Guinea Pig Rescue (SCGPR) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of neglected, abandoned, and at-risk Guinea Pigs.

Our adoptable Guinea Pigs are cared for in homes by foster volunteers and our organization operates entirely on donations.

Our network spans the whole of Southern California and we work to serve every community throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

We have over 30 years of combined experience working in Guinea Pig rescue and our goal is simple, save as many Guinea Pigs as possible, and place them into loving, permanent homes. We are passionate, small but mighty!
