Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Gordon is a three-month old boy who’s looking for a family of his own. He and his brother Griswold were found abandoned on the side of a rural road and taken to a shelter. The pups were very lucky because a wonderful foster family offered to take them in. Thanks to their amazing foster mom, they are happy, healthy, and thriving. The pups are crate trained and are really great with other dogs, cats, and kids (and chickens!).
Gordon’s foster mom says “he is so playful and just the snuggliest boy. He will let you hold him like a baby all day!”
Gordon weighs 16 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventives. If you’d like to offer Gordon a forever home and have the time and patience a puppy needs please email
bigyellowdog.wendy@gmail.com for an application.

We are a foster home and sanctuary based network. There is no one particular facility that the general public can visit. All potential adopters should contact the rescuer posting a pup.
Please remember that we are a network of rescuers with uniform vetting, quarantine and wellness care. Our network includes volunteers in many states primarily the eastern seaboard and New England providing foster or sanctuary care.

More about this rescue
PHILOSOPHY : Based on an Albert Schweitzer quote
" THINK OCCASIONALLY OF THE
SUFFERING OF WHICH
YOU SPARE YOURSELF THE SIGHT."
Double Dog Rescue works with a network of excellent rescues in rural America to help alleviate the massive problem of pet OVER- population. The volunteers we work with are inundated with dogs and puppies that otherwise would be euthanized in local shelters It is a deeply saddening fact that dogs and puppies are euthanized for no other reason than simply lack of space, lack of compassion, no regulating laws. We are working towards a NO KILL SOCIETY. Until this goal is acheived we will continue to aid rescuers in rural areas place loving dogs into approved homes where they can be valued family members.
