My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Odin is a sweet guy who just wants to be petted all the time. He would most likely do well with someone who wants to sit on the couch and pet him lots as he enjoys being loved on and he shows affection with kisses in return.

At first he is a little shy with strangers but he is friendly with people once he warms up to them.

He is a pretty quiet guy and not much of a barker or whiner.

Odie plays well with other dogs.

He does well in the crate but prefers not to be in it if possible. Seems to be housebroken but does mark territory outside as males often do.

It is hard to say what breeds he might be but possibly has some miniature schnauzer and maybe poodle. Doesn’t seem to shed much and might be hypo-allergenic. He is a medium sized dog.

Estimated to be one year old by October 1, 2024. Neutered.

Go meet their pets

Since we are a foster based rescue and don’t have a shelter all meet and greets must be scheduled and walk-ins are not an option. We will travel throughout the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas/states if that means the dog will find their forever home! When we host adoption/community events we will always post them on our Facebook Page Northern Star Dog Rescue.

More about this rescue

We are Northern Star Dog Rescue, a completely foster based non profit dog rescue! We specifically pull all of our dogs from the euthanasia list (most are there due to no fault of their own) and dogs that are homeless or in bad housing conditions. We take them in and place them in foster homes until we can find them their forever homes! We do what we do because our team has a STRONG love for animals especially those that are in dire situations.
