Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Oakley is the epitome of what a ‘Bully mix’ is when well loved; he’s always happy, loves every animal he meets and makes you laugh with his silly antics! This 10-month-old lovable goof doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, despite being very under socialised in his younger years. Coming from a puppy mill and then being adopted on a whim, made it so that Oakley didn’t get to meet many people or dogs in the beginning and had never been on leash. He’s very adaptable and with love, positive reinforcement and cookies, he will become the perfect boy! He will need to be worked on with leash training, he’s wonderful with all dogs (a bit too curious with cats, but listens when you call his name). He is a bit nervous around humans at first.
He is an active boy; he spends most of his days playing in the yard with toys (loves playing with the hanging rope toy by himself) and playing with his doggy friends! He would love to have one or more dog siblings to play with, but if not, he will need to have his energy spent with other exercise. He is still a puppy and there will be lots of firsts with him, we are looking for a patient family who appreciates this boy. He is super affectionate & and total cuddle monster. He is silly, loving and very special; he’s looking for his family that sees the unlimited potential Oakley has!
Oakley is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and sterilized and will come with her medical booklet.
Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!

We do regular follow ups and virtual home visits before the family meet the dog. :)

Go meet their pets
We are presently foster based so the meetings will take place where the dogs are being kept and that way the potential family can also discuss the good and bad habits of that dog to see if it's the right fit. The families need to be willing to work on a behaviour if it needs work and to provide the appropriate time and patience for the dog to accllimate to it's new home!

More about this rescue
We are a small shelter with lots of experience with dogs and rescuing. I worked for a larger shelter in the past but didn't always appreciate the way things were handled so I decided to branch out in a smaller scale but with all of the wonderful contacts and information that I've learned in the past decade + of doing rescue! Dogs are my passion and I would love to place as many as possible in their loving, furever homes!
