A6489 Dakota is a brown and black colored, approximately 7-year-old, 12-pound, spayed female, Domestic Short-Haired Cat.
She entered the shelter as a stray on 10-24-2024.
Dakota is a friendly, social, easy to handle girl here at the shelter. Our staff describes her as very sweet vocal cat who will talk to you for attention. She loves affection and pets and will make a great companion. She was nervous exploring the playroom and picked a safe cubby to watch everything from. She might need a little time to decompress in a new home, but a lifetime of love and loyalty will be your reward. Dakota will be a loving, loyal companion in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
