*** Tony (the Tiny Tiger) is in a foster home. ***
Gray/black/white tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 6/2/24, #19360
Cats: must have playmate Dogs: comfortable Children: older likely good
BACKGROUND: Tony was found by a rescuer in Mexico who was concerned about his undersized eyes and reached out to The Rescue House for help. He moved into foster care and was evaluated for anything that might need doing; while his eyes are abnormal due to a birth defect, intervention was not recommended as they are stable and he does have some vision. He can see somewhat out of his left eye and light/shadows out of his right. Like most vision-impaired cats, you’d never know he has limitations based on his actions!
PERSONALITY: Tony, aka TinyTiger, is curious, inquisitive, nosy… playful, energetic, nosy… friendly, fearless, nosy… did we mention NOSY?? This little guy is curious about everything and nothing scares him. Given the chance he would probably be the kitten riding on a Roomba. There is nothing in the house that isn’t a toy: a crumpled piece of paper, towel, string, broom… and his own official toys, of course, but makeshift ones (especially anything that dangles) are so enticing! A ping pong ball in the bathtub is great fun but if it’s not there then his own tail is good enough to chase. Tony is a fun-loving kitten who still has some time for snuggles… but only when he’s ready, after all he has LOTS to do and see! He’s a busy boy.
COMPATIBILITY: Tony absolutely needs a playful kitty friend, one who will be happy to engage and not be intimidated by this confident and kind of nuisance-pestery little fellow. Tony is already great friends with his foster brother Peanut and they would make a fantastic duo. He has fostered with a cat-savvy smaller dog, and while he has not met any children we think he’d be fine with most well-behaved older kids.
Tony the Tiny Tiger is GRRRRREEAAT! Will he be the best thing to enter your life?
