My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Iris is the name of a beautiful flower, and this Iris is a beautiful girl that will bloom in a loving household! She is a one year old 27 pound (slim frame )blue-eyed Alaskan Husky that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/24 as a stray. She very recently had a litter and is not completely dried up yet. She explored the yard thoroughly and then came back to hang out with me. She occasionally jumps on you and one time even howled when she wanted my attention. She can be taught not to jump on you. She's only one year old and since she wants to please and is smart, would be a quick learner. She knows the sit command but was not interested in my treats. She wagged her tail meeting other dogs. She walks very well on a leash. She did her business in the yard. She's sweet, loving, attentive, frisky, playful, and outgoing. She even gives kisses! Huskies love to run and so are known to escape. She will need a tall secure fence. She will also need frequent brushings. She would love to snuggle up with her new family on the couch or at their feet during family time.
