Meet Liam, who comes to us from the Stokes County Animal Shelter as an owner surrender due to chasing / killing a chicken(s). Liam is a 3-year-old, 53 lb., Curly-Coated Retriever. He has had his first set of shots and is scheduled to be microchipped and neutered in the next few weeks. Liam is at absolutely lovely. He is scared at the moment of the other dogs and runs from them or hides behind something as not to be seen. We believe he was an only dog or just needs to settle in more. He has a TON of personality!! Once he gets comfortable, he is so very loving, goofy and funny. Liam is quiet in a crate and appears to be housebroken. He does need some work on manners, such as jumping, because he gets so excited....but we are fine tuning that. He really is great boy and would love to find his forever home. If you are interested in him, please send us your email address in order to obtain an adoption application.
