Bean ACCT-A-178645 is a 5-year-old female who came in as a stray on 10/18. The finder noted on 10/18 that her "right back leg seems injured, limping/ not putting weight on + Skinny. Maybe broken? She's friendly & cuddly.
Staff noted on 10/23:
"Femur appears to be intact with an intact patella, but there is significant bony proliferation rostral to the distal femur, unable to tell if arising at all from the femur itself or just localized around it. Proximal tibia and fibula have significant bony proliferation as well and are not normal. The periosteum of diaphysis of the tibia +/- fibula are irregular and not smooth.
Assessment:
Significant bony proliferation centered around the stifle joint, with irregularities that appear to be affecting distal femur and proximal to mid tibia and fibula. R/o neoplasia (osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, other) vs previous fracture with abnormal remodeling (atypical location and presentation for a historic fracture).
On 10/19, staff noted:
"Could not microchip during exam. Will need a microchip placed at time of spay.
Per intake exam on 10/19:
"Hind right leg is stiff. Will cry out if touched.
