My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Tenten. I'm young, independent, and a bit shy. I like to do things my own way. I might seem a little spicy at first, but that's just my personality. I enjoy quiet times, playing with my favorite toys, and exploring new corners I may take a little time to warm up to you, but once I do, I promise you my loyalty.

If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.

Go meet their pets

Our Shelter is open every day from 10am-4pm, except Sundays. On Sundays, we are open from noon-4pm.

We are open for walk-ins, but we recommend appointments because some of our pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment with another potential adopter. We just don't want you to come to our location and be disappointed if you can't meet a pet you are interested in.

You can select an appointment time using this link: https://koalendar.com/e/meet-and-greet-appointment.
