My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From Temp foster:

Sweet Tee

What a handsome fella!! Sweet Tee is exuberant and has such zest for his newfound, safe life. While he can go through stuffed dog toys within minutes, he'll pause and give you the most hilarious look with stuffing hanging out of his mouth, so proud. He will give you endless laughs with his goofy, playful nature. He enjoys striking a pose after gingerly climbing onto chairs that he juuuust barely fits on.

He loves chew toys, kongs, snuffle mats, balls, swinging around ropes. Outside he does his business, has a zoomie or two and a little sniff, then is ready to come back inside.

Tee is smart and also food motivated, a winning recipe for successful training. He already knows sit, and we're working on leave it and heel when walking. And he's already house trained- no accidents with us thus far!

He sleeps well in his crate, enjoys napping on the couch and a kids' trampoline (haha!). He prefers to be near you but does not need to be touching you at all times. We are working on crate training and helping him through his separation anxiety as he decompresses and learns that he is finally safe. He seems to prefer being left not in a crate than in a crate (will paw at the crate or bend the wire).

Sweet Tee is very curious about young children but hasn't quite figured out how not to be a "bull in a china shop around them, so he'd do best in a home without small children at the moment. I suspect with adequate decompression and some training that he'll be able to get there. He is an extraordinary dog!

More about this rescue

P3 is a united rescue effort to both save pitties and support veterans. At P3 we LOVE Pitties & we LOVE & RESPECT our Veterans! 2800 Pitties & Pittie Mixes are euthanized in overcrowded shelters every day, over 1 million every year. 22 Veterans commit suicide every day, over 8,030 per year. At P3 we find these numbers UNACCEPTABLE! P3 was created in March of 2024 with the goal of rescuing Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes from overcrowded shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia and providing the necessary training for them to provide emotional support, nightmare alerts, and pressure therapy during episodes of anxiety and stress so they can be paired with a Veteran struggling with PTSD reducing the risk of Veteran suicide. While we support our Veterans, our rescue is not limited to the placement of service dogs for Veterans only. Our Veterans program is only one aspect of what we do. We want to help EVERY pittie find the perfect furever family!
