My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Edric is the sweetest and most cuddly boy. He would gladly spend all day snuggled up close to your face - that is until there is something interesting and curious to play with. He would be happiest with a cat friend in the home.

Edric is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested Felv/FIV negative.

Edric is a survivor of neurological FIP. He was lucky to be treated with 84 days of an antiviral injection and has passed observation. He has some permanent neurological damage and walks with a wobble. He is sometimes slow to change direction, but he can run fast and loves to play with cat friends still! Edric uses the litterbox, but due to damage from neurological FIP, he does sometimes have a few drops of urine come out involuntarily when he is relaxed (cuddling or sleeping).

FIP is a mutation of feline coronavirus that can happen in some cats who have lower immune systems or who have a genetic predisposition. There is no presumed continued care after treatment. Most cats have been exposed to felines coronavirus and only a small percentage will experience a mutation. You can read more about FIP here: https://www.sockfip.org
