This bright-eyed beauty is Ivy, and she’s ready to find her forever home! At first, Ivy may be a bit shy, preferring to observe her new surroundings from a safe distance, but once she feels comfortable, she becomes the perfect blend of purrs and playfulness. Her curious nature will soon shine through, and you'll see her transform into a fun-loving and affectionate companion.
Her foster family has lovingly nicknamed her "Cricket" because of her sweet, cricket-like purrs that fill the room when she’s content. Whether she’s curling up in a cozy spot or leaning in for some soft head rubs, her little purring symphony is sure to melt your heart.
Ivy is wonderfully independent during the day, happy to entertain herself with toys or find a sunny spot to nap in, but when evening rolls around, she’s all about snuggles and attention. She’ll be ready to curl up beside you, purring away as you shower her with loving pets. Her playful energy combined with her gentle, affectionate nature makes her the ideal companion for someone looking for both fun and coziness.
Rescued as a kitten from a community colony, Ivy has been in a foster home where she’s learned to trust and enjoy human company. Now that she’s grown into a confident and curious young cat, she’s ready to take the next step in her journey—finding a forever family who will continue to shower her with love.
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and slightly mysterious kitty who will fill your home with joy, Ivy is the one for you. Get ready for your heart to be stolen by this beautiful little Cricket!
Cricket is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
