My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tulip, the sweetest girl with a heart full of love! At 2.5 years old and around 40 pounds, she has the prettiest brindle coat! She is so ready to find her forever home. Just look at her smile—it perfectly captures the joy and affection she’s eager to share!

Tulip adores people, including older kids, and is even fond of cats—though she sometimes gets a little too excited around them at first because she just wants to play. She's a cuddlebug who loves belly rubs and being near her humans. Some of her favorite activities include tug-of-war (when her ropes survive!), fetch, and chewing on toys. Tulip already knows several commands, including “sit,” “down,” “up,” and “come."

This sweet girl is both house and crate trained. With her love for treats, she’s highly motivated and will thrive with continued training. Tulip enjoys her walks, and needs some guidance in managing her excitement when seeing other dogs, as well as learning to walk on a loose leash instead of pulling. She’s not food aggressive, but will happily snatch your food if you're not paying attention lol! She also tends to jump when greeting people, so a home without children under 12 is a must as she can knock a younger kid over.

Though Tulip loves kitties, her playful nature can be overwhelming at first, so she'll need some supervision and time to adjust. When it comes to other dogs, she’s still figuring out how to interact and can get overly excited, so more socialization will be important.

We’re requiring that Tulip go to a home with a fenced yard or at least an active household, with someone experienced with bully breeds. Her future family must be committed to continuing with her training. With the right guidance, Tulip will be an incredible, loving companion for the perfect person or family!
