My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All rise for Duchess Dauntless, a noble young kitten of exquisite beauty and fearless spirit. With a striking jet-black coat and a regal white blaze adorning her delicate face, she commands attention wherever she goes. Her four pristine white socks and elegant white chest complete her royal ensemble, while her dainty black button nose adds a dash of undeniable charm.

Found alone in the middle of the road, Duchess Dauntless has proven herself to be a courageous little lady with a heart full of adventure. Fear not, for she is as sweet as she is bold, bringing joy and energy to all those who have the pleasure of being in her presence. Playful and lively, she’s always ready to entertain her subjects with her kitten antics.

The Duchess is also most gracious with all creatures in her kingdom—be they fellow felines, dogs, or even young children. She has shared her time with them all and is ever so composed and gentle, fitting for one of her royal stature.

Could your home be the grand palace where Duchess Dauntless will reign supreme? Make haste and apply today, for her Grace is ready to fill her new realm with love and laughter!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.November 7, 2024, 9:05 pm

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
