A21379 Birdie is a brown and black colored, approximately 7-month-old, 34-pound, spayed female, German Shepherd Lab mix. She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 08-12-2024 due to the fact they were moving and couldn't bring her. Birdie is friendly, eager and excited girl here at the shelter. She is all puppy and loves affection. She is very smart, treat motivated and eager to learn. She will "sit" upon command already. She was easy to leash and did OK on our walks but will need more training. She was friendly and curious about other dogs. Birdie will be a sweet loving, loyal companion in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
