URGENT CASE

Howdy! My name is Cowboy (A1933559), and I’m a 2-year-old male pittie hanging out at the Bonita, CA Shelter. I came in as a stray earlier this month and, I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous when I first got here. But after a few days of settling in, I’ve been feeling better, and now the staff can handle me for all my treatments and vaccines. I’ve met some other dogs here too—four of them, actually! I was curious and respectful, even though I didn’t join in on the playtime. I’m a good listener, especially when another dog sets boundaries.

What I really need now is a foster or adopting family where I can continue to relax, learn, and live my life. Can you help me out? I promise I’ll do my best to be the sweetest companion you could ask for.

The shelter has stated their medical concerns about me. They say i have extensive medical concerns and they are asking I exit by 10/25/24

2. Abnormal PL gait/posturing
3. Moderate-severe bilateral hip dysplasia (RPL>LPL)
4. Suspect chronic cruciate disease, arthritis (L>R stifles)

Submit Application

Submit an online application on our website and someone from our team will respond to you within 3 days.

2.
Home Check

We will speak with you to ensure the pet you are interested in is the best match! Then, we will schedule your virtual home check.

3.
Approve Application

Your application will be approved if everything checks and then you will be in our system as an approved adopter.

4.
Meet the Pet

We will arrange for you to meet the pet and foster family. All resident dogs must also be part of the meet and greet.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

If all goes well and you want to adopt you will sign our adoption contract that we email to you.

6.
Pay Fee

You will then pay the adoption fee to us through Venmo or Paypal.

7.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations! You can then take your new furry friend home!

Additional adoption info

Our application process is a no-obligation application. So even if you are not sure about a pet that you applied for, you can stay in our system as an approved adopter - unless you change home residences then you will need to re-apply.

Once your application is approved, we will coordinate with you to schedule a visit with the dog of your choice.

As a dedicated non-profit 501(c)(3) foster-based pitbull rescue, our mission is to save bully breeds/pit bulls from shelters and find them loving homes. Pitbulls are incredibly social dogs that thrive on being included in family activities and maintaining their social interactions.
