Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet one of the golden girls, Daisy. Daisy is our sweet senior gal who is looking for her furever home to spend the rest of her days in. She's a little shy upon first meeting, and can come off as independent, but just give her some time and she's all yours. She is easy to please, and ready to take on the world with her person. Daisy would do well in a quiet environment, unlike life here at the shelter. She's gentle and low-key, and would love to spend her time either under you, or in the sun. There's no love like senior love, come on down so you can get a dollop of Daisy;)

More about this shelter
The South Suburban Humane Society is a 501(c )(3) organization that was started in 1970, serving the animal welfare needs of the entire south suburbs of Chicago. In the beginning, we handled all rescues, adoptions and provided foster care out of private homes. Since November 1973, our organization has been operating a 10,000 square foot open-door animal shelter in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
For over fifty years, our organization has helped tens of thousands of animals. We offer extensive outreach programs including humane education, and community outreach events. We also operate a resale shop located in Steger, Illinois that promotes our organization, our animals and provide much needed income to support our humane work.
The Mission of the South Suburban Humane Society is to protect and promote the well being of pets and their people in our community and beyond.
