Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy-Boxer/Shepard female, ~ 1 yr. (Oct. 2024)
Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application.
Daisy was saved by a Dog Trainer when she saw her in a high kill shelter. She knew this sweet girl needed a chance at life, not to have her life snuffed out before she's even gotten started. Daisy is a 'gem'...she's house trained, crate trained, according to her Inmate Trainer. She's been in a Training program at a Men's Prison and has already learned her basic obedience commands. She's learning about vehicle manners, how to load up. She knows about grooming and good care. She's good with other dogs, loves to play, still having puppy mannerism. Children are an unknown, although she's been around children at the Trainer's Kennels. A home with experienced dog owners and only older teenagers is preferred. Cats seem to be okay with her. She would be considered medium/large in size and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Hiking and play!
Daisy's adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Additional adoption info
The first step in the adoption process is to request an application from rescuebc@hotmail.com. Please allow 1-2 days to receive the application. Please be patient as we are 100% volunteer supported. We will need several days to make the calls on your application. The current pets in the home must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and annual exams, and currently on heartworm preventative for dogs. You must be 21 years of age and gainfully employed.
Once you are approved, a volunteer will contact you and invite you to a Meet and Greet to visit with a pet. All our pets are fostered in private homes and only come to the event when they have a potential adopter.
Plan to spend 1-2 hours at the Meet and Greet. It takes time to unload our pets and give them an opportunity to relieve themselves. You will have time to visit with a pet to decide if this is the right pet for your family. You will be required to sign a legal contract and we will go over the medical records with you. You will be required to take your new pet to the vet within 7 days of adopting.
We charge an adoption fee for all of our animals. This fee varies depending on the vetting requirements of that particular animal. The adoption fee is cash only.
If you have any questions, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com.
