Davey Jones is one very handsome, affectionate, friendly guy. He knows the sit command, down, takes treats gently, and loves to get pets from his handler. He loves belly rubs and is a cuddly boy too. He is very attentive to his handlers. He was great while getting a bath and was easy to work with. In a foster home he was good with the resident dog and a visiting child. He is young, energetic, and will benefit from continued training. Once he knows what you want, he wants to please you. He is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs 60 lb. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated. Come meet him at Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Road, Inverness, FL 34450. ID#57144257.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are here to help you find the one for you! When you come to the shelter please bring your photo ID.

2.
Take the Pet Home

Adopt and the pet is legally yours! Or choose to "slumber party" which is a trial adoption. You will have up to two weeks to decide.

3.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee.

All adopters must be at least 18 years old. The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee. All pets are spayed/neutered, current on age and species appropriate vaccinations and flea and heartworm prevention. Kittens under 6 months of age are tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), and Cats over 6months of age are tested for FeLV and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Dogs over 6 months of age are tested for heartworm disease. If the dog is heartworm positive, the treatment will be provided by our Veterinarian, at no cost to the adopter, sponsored by our generous community partner Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP).
