Lauressa is our female/spayed Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix, born on 11/25/19. She currently weighs around 12lbs.
She will come to you very nervous and confused. Her family gave her up due to money issues. She was very lost and took two weeks to be at home. She bonded quickly with the man of the house like glue. She loves my boys and is bonded to mom of the house too!
This girl wants to play after some time. Her foster mama says, “She is a super sweet and loving dog who is good with other dogs. I think she would be great with kids but would not do hyper little kids and LOVES PEOPLE!! She also plays fetch!”

$350 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies and other vaccinations, deworming, and heartworm and flea preventatives while the dog is in our care.

Additional adoption info

1. Look at our wonderful dogs and cats. Try to pick just one or two you'd like to meet.
2. Email us to request an Adoption Application. We'll reply within 48 hrs.
3. Complete the application and email it back to us.
4. Our Adoption Counselors will review your application and get back to you within 24 hrs. We reserve the right to decline any application. A home visit may be required.
5. If you're approved, we'll set up a time for you to meet the pet at a location that's convenient for you and the foster. (All our pets live in foster homes around the city. We are not a public shelter.)

Meet our adoptable pets most weekends at one of the locations below. If there's a specific pet you're coming to see, please email (MuttsAndMeows@Mail.com) the day before or call the store DURING ADOPTION TIMES ONLY and ask to speak to a volunteer. Please do not call the store outside of our regular adoption hours. The pets live in foster homes during the week so the store employees do not know which pets will be there that weekend.

Mutts & Meows Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Sugar Land (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of various municipalities in the Houston area to place dogs and cats in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fees - include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, FEV/FELV tests for cats, and heartworm tests for dogs that are old enough.
