Please meet our handsome Shiba Inu Trevor! Trevor came to us from a breeder who is closing their doors (woohoo!). He is 2 years old and weighs 21 pounds.

Meet Trevor, your typical Shiba Inu! He's a curious, charming, and smart little guy with a bit of a stubborn streak. After spending his life in a barn, everything is a thrilling adventure for him!

Trevor is great with other dogs and loves to hang out with them. While he's not quite ready to play and wrestle just yet, he enjoys running around and watching their antics. He absolutely loves being outside, and whenever the door opens, you can bet he's right there, ready to explore! His foster home has a lovely fully fenced yard where he can soak up the sun and enjoy the fresh air. We hope his new home will also have a fenced yard since he’s still learning to walk on a leash (no invisible fences for him!).

He’s making good strides with housetraining, but keep in mind he might need a little time to adjust. Trevor is also getting the hang of leash walking and is nicely crate trained.

In his foster home, he’s shown some curiosity about the cats, but since they’re all new to him, he’s still figuring them out. As for kids, Trevor hasn’t interacted with them since coming to the rescue, but we believe he would do wonderfully with well-behaved children.

Overall, Trevor is a well-mannered sweetheart who just wants to be by his foster mom’s side as he discovers this exciting new world. With a bit of time and love, he’s sure to become an amazing companion!

Trevor is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. His adoption fee is $500

We are all volunteers with jobs and families and probably more dogs than you, so please understand that we are very busy. We are not able to keep up with the constant general questions and phone call requests that, with a little time and reading on your part, is already included on our website. Replying to all emails makes it very difficult to do our jobs as well as we would like.
All dogs who have adoptions PENDING, will have that info printed right next to their name. Having a pending adoption does not make it a done deal, it means that we are at the home visit/meet and greet phase of the adoption and it could go one way or another so feel free to check back on the status of the dog in question.
We do not have a facility for you to come and visit our dogs. They are in our homes, sleeping in our beds and lounging on our sofa. We value our privacy and do not open our homes to visitors wanting to meet "all the dogs".

Our adoption fees start at $200, some highly adoptable dogs are more and others are less - that will be stated in their profiles.

More about this rescue

Pixie Mamas Rescue (PMR) is a group of volunteer dog lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected dogs. We also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes. We aid in the rescue of small breed dogs. We are located in Western New York.
All PMR dogs are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption. They are all spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes.
All dogs are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.
