My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allow us to introduce the lovely Chica!
This beautiful young dog found her way to the care of a kind-hearted woman who looked after her until we could make space for her at our
shelter.
Chica is an absolute delight to be around, displaying remarkable friendliness towards all humans and demonstrating excellent compatibility with other dogs.
Given her youthful age and her lineage as a working dog breed, Chica possesses a moderate to high energy level.
She would thrive best in an active and dynamic family setting that can match her energy and provide ample opportunities for physical activities.
We believe Chica is a Shepherd/Malinois mix and weighs 45 pounds.
Her birthday is 10/10/23
All of our dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on Simparica Trio when they are adopted.
If you are interested in meeting Chica, please send an email to bahshelter@yahoo.com. If you have additional dogs, we require a meet and greet.

More about this shelter

The Bulverde Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1983 by Dolores Caldwell, BAHS is a no-kill shelter caring for up to 400 dogs and cats annually. The shelter resides on 3.25 acres of park-like land and houses indoor/outdoor kennels, a cattery, nursery/medical recovery building, agility fields, and fenced-in play yards.

BAHS is powered by volunteers and overseen by a Board of Directors. Our volunteers ensure the dogs and cats get plenty of exercise, playtime, and unlimited cuddles, love, and affection.
