My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*This is a courtesy listing*

Meet Nutmeg! This girl bravely asked for help before Hurricane Helene with her loud and eager meows. She was kept safe and well cared for during the storm and is now ready for her forever home. Nutmeg is a sweet cat with a gentle personality. She enjoys being pet and will flop over on the floor for maximum rubs. Nutmeg is very soft and is a pleasure to pet. She has been around other cats who are not overly friendly to her, but she holds her own or avoids the other cats. She is around-school aged kids and does well with them. She loves to play with toys or just be around her humans. She is spayed and microchipped. Will you be her next human to love?

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
