My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Tiana and I can not wait to meet you! I am one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. I am a little shy at first with new people but it does not take much to win me over and pretty soon you will have your very own lap dog. I have quite a bit of energy and stamina so I need a good walk and/or play session in the morning to be on my best behavior. I can get overstimulated when other dogs and get super rowdy while playing but am working on my dog manners. Once I get some exercise I become quite chill in the house and prefer to hang on the couch with a nice chew bone. I am incredibly quiet in my kennel and do well being left alone. I would be happy to join another confident canine friend but also happy to be on my own. I get crazy rambunctious zoomies first thing in the morning and when you let me out of my crate, my foster mom absolutely loves them but is probably too much for small children because I might knock them over. If you are looking for the best of both worlds; a canine pal to walk and hike with but also chill with I am your gal.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
