My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Calvin, he is a 10-month-old male Shepherd mix. Calvin is still in the adolescence phase, and he's full of energy, excitement, and curiosity! He's also incredibly affectionate and eager to spend time with you, whether that means cuddling on the couch or going for long walks or runs. His playful side is also very much present, and he enjoys interactive games like fetch or tug-of-war. Although he's still learning to navigate new situations and environments, Calvin is a very smart dog who is ready to take on the world once he feels secure. He needs someone who can help him channel his energy in positive ways and keep him happy and engaged!

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
