Meet Bahama!!
She’s in need of a Foster or Adopter! She’s in a temporary foster, but she will be headed out of town soon so we need to find this girl somewhere ASAP!
This sweet gorgeous girl is 3 years old and 25 pounds! She’s all legs! Her foster says she’s super sweet, gentle, quiet, and doesn’t bark! Shes active and curious and gets along well with other dogs! She loves to sleep in bed with you! She would do best with a fenced yard to run off her energy and another active dog playmate!
Bahama has come around pretty quickly. Very active. Sprints thru yard, zoomies, she entertains herself very well. Lots of time, we find her sunbathing just outside the back door. She will toss a toy around. Have not seen her play with others. But she coexists great. She is very alert. Poses like a statue. Very regal. She has taken to "playing" with her people. She is very agile and many times has been heard on the kitchen counter top. I try to sneak in, but she is hyper vigilant in her debauchery. And jumps down.
She is a character. She is crate trained. Enters easily. Settles in. She will whine when she needs to potty and just discovered the door bells for potty notification. Smart girl! She sleeps well thru the night. Naps during the day, on a dog bed, or sunbathe just outside the door. She is very engaging and we believe she would love agility, fast cat, and the speed event rebounding off boards. She is fun, silly. Needs little correction. She seems delicate. When I hear her on the counter, I say, "excuse me" and she gets down. She is adorable! Experienced older children should be okay by her.
I would love a home for her where her parent gently corrects. Laughs at her antics and nicely corrects the counter hopping. Or heck, the most amazing home would make the effort to keep the counter mostly clean so the only trouble she gets in, is the act of jumping on the counter. I do believe she would steal a "treat", from the counter, if she deemed it worthy.
Bahama is such a beautiful girl. Snow White from head to toe. She has the terrier smarts and energy, but loves a lap to keep warm in
Already crate trained and will put herself up if she need to. She will figure things out fast. Don’t be suprised if you notice she know when you are supposed to be home, when dinner should be ready, play time and nap time and when you need some extra Lovin.
