Jack and Jill are 2 of the sweetest babies. They are approximately 1.5 years old and Jill weighs 12 lbs and Jack weighs 8 lbs, they are not getting any bigger.
These 2 have not had an easy life. They did have a home at one point, but the owners moved out and left them in their yard, in a wire crate, alone. No food. No water. The neighbors heard them and due to laws, could not take them, but animal control wasn’t responding so they snuck them food and water over the course of a few days. A week went by, and still, nobody came for them. They lived in a wire crate for a week before animal control came. Thankfully, they let us take them into our care, where they have been. The owners never came back.
Jack and Jill have since been fully vetted and are ready for their forever homes. They each have their own personality and we’re not sure if we want to split them up or not, ideally we’d love to adopt them together.
Jack is a little more timid than Jill – he is the smaller one (light tan) and he’s unsure of who to trust. Jill is more friendly and will come to anyone and give lots of kisses within minutes. Jack can warm up to you with patience (and a little time, not much!). In a matter of days he was sleeping in the fosters bed, cuddling right up.
They are both cuddle bugs and love to be next to you. They are house trained.
They have met kitties and other dogs, and they don’t mind either of them (you’ll see one of our kitties in the video going up to them).
An ideal home for them would be one that is a little quieter and more relaxed. These 2 are not hyper nor do they need a lot of activity. They don’t mind walks around the neighborhood. We’re not sure how they do with children but based on how they’ve been, we do not recommend young children.
Jack and Jill would make fabulous companions for the perfect household.
Jack and Jill are spayed/neutered, heart worm negative, current on preventions, microchipped, and will receive a health certificate prior to adoption from a vet giving them a clean bill of health.

Most of our animals are located in Texas in foster care. 90% of our animals are adopted prior to transport, and adopter must pick up animal from the transport company who brings them up north (all USDA companies). We do have private companies that bring them directly to your home/office also. Sometimes we do have animals located in foster care up north - if this is the case we do put at the very top of the animal's profile where the animal is located in the north.
Once approved, we can put you in contact with the foster family to learn more specifics about the animal you are applying for.
We do try and process applications within 1-2 business days. Please make sure to list all appropriate information such as references contact information, vet contact information, current animal information, landlord information, etc.

More about this rescue
We are an animal rescue dedicated to helping neglected, abandoned, stray and homeless animals find their forever homes.
We found a need in our area due to the little to no options for the animals in rural areas in Texas - where most animals that ended up in our shelters were euthanized for space.
