Our beautiful, smushy-mushy girl Raine is back, and she's in need of a fabulous home. Raine was adopted a little over two years ago and unfortunately, she did not take well to a new baby. (Please no criticism, Raine just needs a new home now). Raine is about 9 1/2 years old now and she's as sweet, loving, and friendly as ever! She initially came to us from our Newark shelter in 2022 from what looked to be a bad situation. She arrived with a giant collar on when her owner became otherwise detained..... Despite it all, Raine never lets anything diminish her warm and loving personality. She's the best-behaved girl that walks perfectly on a leash, she has had so much training and sits and lays down when asked, and takes anything you offer her very gently. She's housebroken and she's calm and mild-mannered. Unfortunately, Raine needs a home with no other pets or kids, but she would love more than anything to plop on your lap on the couch, watch TV with you, take a leisurely stroll with you, and just live the good life. Please give her a chance. Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. File#56212 7/28/24 Primary Color: Grey Weight: 51 Age: 9yrs 9mths 1wks

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
