This almost 6 year old pup is in need of a Rescue or highly experienced adopter!
Crinkles has a strong past as a highly-trained working dog. She's skilled in scent work (though we're still uncovering the exact scent she tracks!) and trained in bite work. Due to her extensive training-whether from a professional or someone with experience-Crinkles thrives when she's given a job to do. She needs an adopter or rescue with experience in police, military, or working dogs who can continue her training and provide her the mental stimulation she craves.
While Crinkles is a dedicated and intelligent girl, she does have some quirks. She tends to bite at her back end when she's not being actively worked or engaged, which means she'll need a home that can keep her busy and challenged. She would do best as the only pet in the home, where she can focus on her training and bond closely with her human.

We require a completed adoption application which can be obtained at our facility, or from our website: www.ahscares.org. We also require proof of home ownership if you own, or a copy of a lease stating that pets are allowed with no restrictions if you rent. We require vet records for any pets owned in the last five years as well. Our adoption fees vary based on age, breed, etc. Please call our facility for exact fee 609-693-1900.

Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
