My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Sunny D: Your Future Adventure Buddy!

If you’re looking for a furry friend to join you on your outdoor adventures, look no further than Sunny D! This spirited 11-month-old pup is bursting with energy and charm, and he’s ready to find his forever home with an active family.

Sunny D is the type of dog who truly believes that every day is an invitation to play! He thrives in the company of other dogs that love to romp around and has a knack for turning any outing into a joyful experience. His playful demeanor makes him perfect for families with older kids who can match his energy and keep up with his antics.

Are you an outdoor enthusiast? Sunny D is your guy! He’s all about hikes and daily walks, eagerly exploring new trails and sniffing out all the exciting scents nature has to offer. With him by your side, you’ll never have a dull moment!

While Sunny D is already crate trained and house trained, he’s also eager to learn more. He needs someone who is willing to continue his training, helping him become the best version of himself. His enthusiasm for learning means you’ll bond over fun training sessions that will keep both of you engaged.

Sunny D does have a bit of a pushy play style with other dogs, so he would thrive best in a home with dogs that can match his energy and enthusiasm.

Sunny D is protective of his yard, making him a great companion for a family who appreciates a dog that can keep an eye on things while still being a loyal friend. He’s ready to bring love, laughter, and a little bit of playful mischief into your life.

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Sunny D, you’ll gain a devoted companion who will fill your days with joy and adventure. Let’s find this playful pup the active family he deserves!

Sunny D is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!

Additional adoption info

Filling out an application is the first step. An online application is located on Haven to Home's homepage. Application, references, home visit and adoption fee are required to adopt one of our dogs. Due to the severe overpopulation of dogs in this country Haven to Home believes that responsible pet owners have their pets spayed or neutered. Therefore it is our policy not to adopt our dogs to people who do not have their current animals spayed or neutered unless there is a medical reason. Adoption fees are listed on our website.
