Virginia arrived at Foothills after a journey all the way from Texas. A staff member at the transferring shelter described her as "quiet but very sweet and playful." Her long voyage, and the transition to another busy environment, has been tough on Virginia and she has been feeling quite shut-down here. However, with a slow approach, Virginia has begun leaning into pets. Outside of the shelter, we expect her comfort with interaction will further increase and that playful kitten-ness will reemerge with time. Her perfect adopters will offer her patience and a thoughtful intro to her new home.
At this time, Virginia is available to households with children 10+ or no children. A well-matched feline friend may help her build confidence in her new environment. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 5.3125 Age: 0yrs 7mths 2wks

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter and first vaccines, medical exam, and microchip.
How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.
We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.
Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.
