My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Mystic Bill was brought in by his previous owner on October 18, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Mystic Bill, a charming cat with a unique personality! Mystic Bill enjoys head and neck pets when he's in the mood, and he's a pro at rubbing against your legs to give himself a little extra attention. Mystic Bill is shy with new people and may do best in household with older children. His new family will need to give Mystic Bill his own safe space to slowly come out of his shell at his own pace. Once he is comfortable, his affectionate nature and playful antics will surely bring joy to your home. This lovable guy has dental disease and a history of chronic vomiting, so we recommend monitoring with your regular veterinarian to keep him in tip-top shape. If you're looking for a sweet companion who knows how to ask for love, Mystic Bill is ready to make your life a little brighter!

Shy/Fearful Cat: Mystic Bill requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
