My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy and Rosi are sisters who really do love each other. While both are super gorgeous, they do require some specific care. These girls will need to have daily brushing to keep there long coats in tip top shape. Lucy and Rosi have been indoor only cats, so we are looking for a home where they will be able to continue ruling the home.

Rosi is the more social girl, while Lucy looks to her sister for that extra reassurance. Although they do tend to spend most of their time side by side, they do separate on occasion especially when they are exploring. They have lived a more sheltered life with not much socializing. Once they have settled into their new home, they will meld into your lifestyle with ease. Lucy and Rosi will take time to adjust to new surroundings, so their new family should be patient and understanding. As they are bonded to each other, they will need to stay together for the healthy well-being.

If you have a quiet home with no other pets and are looking to spend many years with sisters that will love you just as much as they love each other, fill out an application for Lucy and Rosi on our website @ www.spca.bc.ca.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
