My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pancho is a sweet and curious boy. He's quick to roll over and offer his belly and his tail is always wagging! He is learning how to be a very good boy. He is dog and cat friendly, and friendly with all people. He is around 7mos old and 35lbs. He'll be a nice medium size dog when fully grown.

Here is more about Pancho:

Pancho is great on a leash and is easy to train with praise and treats. He’s more praise-motivated than food-motivated. He responds well to “this way” or “let’s go,” and is working on “leave it.” He stops to watch other people and dogs, but doesn’t bark or lunge.

He is interested in kitties, but after a few cauionary warnings, he learns to be slow and gentle around them.

He knows “sit,” “lay down,” “kennel,” and we are working on “wait.”

He is making progress on being okay with staying alone in his kennel. He doesn’t love it but he’s on his way to understanding I will always come back to let him out again.

He’s extremely affectionate and snuggly. He definitely wants a human to bond with and be his main person; he follows me everywhere and lays right at my feet when I’m doing something.

He is finishing up getting all of his shots, and neutering is also part of the plan. If you are interested in meeting Poncho, or learning more about him, please complete the application found by hitting the "Adopt" button.
