My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hola! My name is FALCON and here is some info about me:

PHYSICAL INFO:

  • Breed: Terrier mix (wire haired)

  • Age: Approximately 2 years old

  • Gender: Male

  • Weight: 66 lbs (30 kg)

  • Height: 55 cm (paws to top of my head)

  • Length: 62 cm (head to butt)

  • Neck: 35 cm

  • Current Location: MEXICO CITY

RESCUE STORY - Like many rescue pups, I was found by a good samaritan on the streets of Mexico. They were concerned that I had been injured, but when my Rescuer came to find me, turns out I was just napping! Hehe! I was checked out by the local vet, and am very lucky that I was found happy and healthy.

TEMPERAMENT - My Rescuers say that I am a social butterfly, I’m not shy about my love for people and my fellow doggos! I love to play with humans, dogs, and toys! I’m also a bit of a smarty pants! I’ve been working on some basic training and am eager to please! Check out this video of me following basic commands.

ENERGY LEVEL - High - I’m a high energy fella who loves to run and play! I would do well with an active family who could take me for regular walks, runs, or even hikes! Once I’ve had my share of exercise, I am content to lounge in my bed, or play with my chew toys.

GETS ALONG WITH:

  • Kids – Yes, click here for a video of me socializing with a kiddo!

  • Dogs –  You betcha! I get along and play well with my fellow dog at the shelter.

  • Cats – Unknown. I don’t have any known experience around cats.

PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.

TRAINING:

  • Leash skills – I’m a work in progress! I will need an adopter who is happy to work with me on my leash manners. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help set me up for success!

  • House trained – Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :)

HEALTH NOTES:

  • I am neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.

  • I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North.

  • NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.

ADOPTION FEE:

  • My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD including tax (5% GST, 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.

The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live.

WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates.
