My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

They call me Young Dayton, in recognition of the City I rule. My foster mom calls me Little Bit, but I will deal with her later. In my last life I ruled the Pacific Ocean from the shoulder of my pirate assistant, Captain Jack. When I found myself reborn without wings, it took me a moment to adjust. I still prefer to view the world from the shoulders of caretakers.

Shortly after birth, I discovered that dogs were being allowed to live in my town! Outraged, I set off immediately to City Hall to demand changes. Unfortunately, I forgot I could no longer fly and ended up in a window well HVAC at City Hall. It was a very courageous journey for an 8 month kitten.

Some very kind humans assisted me in extracting myself and took me to my foster home for some rest and recovery. I am very loving to all the humans I meet. I am a brave explorer, and love to investigate such exotic locations as the refrigerator. I tolerate the 3 pit bulls I am forced to live with. I will hiss and swat them when I am tired of being licked. I take good care of my hygiene, so I fail to understand why they insist on trying to bathe me! I have an older foster brother cat, he refuses to play with me no matter how demanding I am. He is much bigger than me. I keep on insisting he entertain me. He will learn I always win.

My foster mom says I am a sweet fluff ball with beautiful eyes and a sassy attitude. She mistakes my loud purr for contentment and not orders!

Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties up to 1-year old, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty!

Additional adoption info

Adoption requirements include an application that tells us something about the adoptive family and authorizes us to contact the family's vet for references, a phone or in-person interview, and at the director's discretion, home visitation. We provide an adoption contract that lists the animal's current and anticipated health care and delineates the owner's and our responsibilities. Each kitten has a 2-week satisfaction guarantee which provides a full refund for animals returned within the 2-week time frame. Our typical adoption fees are $200 per Siamese Wannabe and $250 per Siamese mixes and Siamese and some others.

More about this rescue

We are a small, grass-roots volunteer effort dedicated to easing the problems faced by unwanted Siamese cats and kittens and their non-Siamese cousins. We use foster homes for our animals to provide them with a warm and loving environment from which to be adopted; we give all of our animals excellent vet care to ensure they have a good start in life. We offer education and advice on cat care and cat behavior issues; we provide courtesy listings for adoptable pets for free on our web site. We provide support to indigent owners (emergency food and vet care assistance) as we are able and offer advice and assistance on resolving landlord pet issues (including ADA therapy pet designation). We are dedicated to making life easier for the animals who love and trust us and look to us for their safety, security, and happiness. The problems are large and we are small but we try hard to make a difference for cats at risk.
