Weight: 46 lbs (as of 9/19/24)
Age: 8 mos (as of 10/19/24)
Sex: Male
Breed: Bloodhound Mix

Personality: Bud is a lively and friendly pup with a playful streak. He may play tough, but he's full of affection and eager to please. His energy and enthusiasm make him a perfect match for an active family or individual.

Dog Friendly: Yes, Bud is great with other dogs and would do well in a home with a canine companion or as an only dog.

Cat Friendly: Unknown at this time. If you have cats, a careful introduction would be recommended.

House Trained: Bud is still working on house training but is making fantastic progress. He's almost there!

Crate Trained: Yes, Bud is well-adjusted to crate training and uses his crate without issue.

Back Story: Bud was rescued from Taylor County Animal Shelter with his mom, Blossom. Since then, he has been thriving in a foster home where he's received lots of love and care.

Special Notes: Bud is an active puppy who benefits greatly from routine and regular exercise.

He has attended puppy preschool for socialization and is a proud graduate of the HoundsTown Seal of Approval program, where he interacted with many other dogs.

His ideal home would be one that can keep up with his energy and provide him with the stimulation and companionship he craves.

Looking for: Bud is eager to find a loving home that can match his energy and provide him with the routine and exercise he thrives on.

If you’re ready for an active, playful, and affectionate pup, Bud might just be your perfect new family member!

More about this rescue

The London Sanctuary (TLS) focuses on providing a safe haven for elderly and unwanted Beagles and Hound Dogs, as well as other at-risk, large to medium-sized breeds, as space and funds permit. Special consideration is given to hounds of all types, which are also greatly at risk in northeast Florida.

• TLS rescues, rehabilitates, and re-homes as many dogs from area shelters as possible. Our priority is to save dogs most at-risk of euthanasia in shelter facilities.
• TLS attempts to place dogs through online pet-listing services and forums, and social media.
• TLS thoroughly screens prospective owners with home and veterinary reference checks.
• TLS houses a limited number of dogs as care-for-life dogs that cannot be placed either due to age and/or medical conditions.
• TLS provides ongoing support and education to all adopters.
• TLS spays/neuters and gives required immunizations and necessary medical treatment to all dogs prior to placement.
