Meet Heidi, a 10-year-old, 8 lb. Bichon/Yorkie mix with the softest cream coat and warmest brown eyes. She was bought as a puppy and is now in new of a new home. Heidi’s mom runs an in-home daycare, and while she has been around children all her life, in her senior years, she is becoming tense and anxious around the kids. She's now seeking a quieter environment with teens and up, as she’s becoming less tolerant of all the hustle and bustle of her current living situation.
Heidi is a sweet, gentle soul who is happiest by your side or on your lap. She is very affectionate and thrives on cuddles, pets, and belly rubs. Though she’s not the best on a leash, Heidi enjoys leisurely strolls and loves car rides—especially with her face out the window, soaking in the sights and the sun! She currently lives in a home with another dog and does great with him. Food is her ultimate motivator, and she delights in mealtime. Heidi loves to play fetch, although she hasn't quite grasped the concept of bringing it back.
Recently, she received a clean bill of health from the vet, though she has experienced occasional seizures, likely linked to stress in her current environment. The vet believes there's no neurological concern, and with the right care, she can live a happy life. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will brighten your days with her sweet nature, Heidi could be the perfect fit!
Her adoption fee is $400 and she is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed. Heidi also qualifies for our Senior-to-Senior program so if you're 60 years or older, you can adopt her for just $300.
