Meet Snoop! You might notice some blood in his kennel, it’s from his front paw. The shelter staff knows about it and so does the vet team here at the shelter.
Want to know the whole story? OK! In the beginning of October Snoop got away from his family and was hit by a car. The family brought him to a local vet clinic but they abandoned him there. Maybe they couldn’t afford his care, or maybe they thought he wouldn’t make it. We are sad he lost his family and we don’t know the reason they abandoned him, but we do know they cared enough to bring him someplace that could help him. And for that we are thankful.
When Snoop first arrived at the vet clinic he couldn’t walk at all. Over a few weeks with the care of the veterinary office staff, he slowly gained strength and in the meantime he won over all the hearts of the staff at the clinic. He’s improved so much and is still improving. The only leftover lasting effect from his accident is that he’s still dragging his front paw when he walks. He does use it to walk, and we’re hoping that over time it keeps getting better and better. Snoop seems to make friends everywhere he goes and he’s made lots of human friends here at the shelter. He also participates in our shelter playgroups and loves his canine friends. Now he’s ready for his new home! Are you the new family he’s looking for to help him heal his body and his heart? Come meet him at the shelter!
Snoop has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match! Check out his playgroup video here:
