Why I need a new home

Fostered

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jackie came to me as a foster from a relative experiencing hardship and moving out of our area. My niece has since decided not to return for her dog and has given permission to rehome him. Jackie is a 2 yr old male, not neutered, healthy and active, He would be an ideal pet for a family with children or active adults willing to provide daily walks or trips to the dog park. Jackie is crate trained and house trained. He has a secure fenced yard here and he enjoys the freedom to run and play. I'm sure he would be good with another calm dog in the family, but he sees cats as prey. He did mark his territory when he first arrived (as many male dogs do) but he was easily corrected and the marking behavior was temporary. He will come with his harness, leash, toys, and favorite blanket. If you are unfamiliar with small-breed, pug-faced dogs, I recommend you do some research on their special needs. They are not suited to 100% outdoor living. Pugs are house pets and fair weather friends outside.
