My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rikki (17906)he is a domestic long hair that was previously adopted in 2016 and was recently returned due to no fault of his own.

Rikki is a shy sweet loveable cat! Once he gets to know you have a brush ready! His favorite past time is being brushed! Rikki has a history of pancreatitis, that doesn't slow him down at all! Actually it is maintained thru a prescription diet.

The adoption centers are open everyday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To view other cats or kittens available for adoption at Valley Animal Center, please visit https://valleyanimal.org/cats/. You may also find Valley Animal Center's adoption application there. Once you submit an adoption application, a cat care associate will review it and follow up with you as soon as possible.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
